Sunny Bank Allotment, near to Odsal Top in Bradford is a traditional community allotment. But parts of the allotment are now run and managed by Westend Community Centre.
Managed by Dan Flack, who supports and oversees the volunteers who regularly attend and work the plots. The allotment supports and reinstills confidence to locals who, for whatever reason, have become marginalised in society.
In an atmosphere that is encouraging and supportive, this initiative has seen significant improvement in the wellbeing of those that attend. It's also a cool place to hang out.
